Robert Seamans is a Professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business, Director of the NYU Stern Center for the Future of Management, and a nonresident Senior Fellow at Brookings. He studies technology strategy and the economic consequences of AI, robotics and other advanced technologies. In 2015, he was appointed as the Senior Economist for technology and innovation on President Obama's Council of Economic Advisers. He received his PhD from UC Berkeley.
