MIT FutureTech organized a workshop will look at how computing — hardware, algorithms, software, and transformative technologies (e.g., machine learning, quantum compiling) — are evolving and what these changes will mean for economic prosperity. Of particular interest will be recent shifts in computing (e.g., Moore's law fading, the rise of deep learning) that are overturning long-standing assumptions.
The goal of the workshop is to bring together scholars from economics and computer science to create a new interdisciplinary research community and to lay out a research agenda for this emerging area.
Date: September 30 & October 1, 2022
This workshop is sponsored by the National Science Foundation
